Evil communications corrupt good manners.

One thing I try to avoid at all cost in my blogs is talking about politics. So let me make this disclaimer before we go any farther, this is not about politics. This blog is about basic human rights and behavior.

We are so blessed to live in a time where mass communication is at our fingertips, and with it a wealth of information. Unfortunately this blessing can be used as something evil also. I have seen on the Internet where flash mobs have descended upon a courtyard of the mall, and sang together, the most inspiring songs that I have heard in a long time. But I have also seen where mass communication i.e. telephones, have been used to descend upon an unsuspecting couple trying to have a quiet dinner after a hard days’ work. Whatever possessed people to think that this is acceptable behavior, is beyond my comprehension.

Let’s suppose, albeit far-fetched, that we had two factions of people, one liked yellow, the other side liked green. Any time you saw a single person, (because bullies never pick on crowds only on the vulnerable), wearing your opposing color, you got on your phone and called all the yellow people to come and harass this single person wearing green. I know that sounds a bit on the ridiculous side, but in all actuality that is what is happening. These people are picking on a couple who are spending their lives serving this country, who are unarmed, and undefended and mobbing them because they’re essentially wearing the wrong color.

What has this country come to? Where are the law enforcers? Why are not the people who perpetuate this atrocity not arrested? When you have television programs like the new one called; THE PURGE, where they make it legal to surround an innocent victim and kill them, you have to admit, we are not too far from that at this point in American history. What are you people thinking? How do you think that this is okay on any level? What if the tables were turned and they did it to you, because of the way you did your hair, or the type of car you drove, or the kind of shoes you wore? That is how idiotic this behavior is becoming, if someone told you to jump off a bridge would you do it? Don’t you have any sense of your own, like knowing right from wrong?

Where did this type of behavior ever come from? Well here’s a clue. “Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere. Maxine Waters 6/25/18.

This is no less than a call for civil unrest! Last I looked, we were a civilized country, and one that had civil rights, and that people were crossing the border to get to because we have freedom. Well, this so-called Senator has just taken those freedoms away from law-abiding families. It is the most shameful thing I have ever heard of a politician doing, and last I knew, Ms. Waters could not walk on water! Simple basic humanity does not allow that kind of behavior, and anyone who participates in this type of rabble-rousing should be ashamed, and be arrested for harassment, regardless of their political party or stand. Come on America, we’re better than this, we help each other regardless of our political or religious beliefs. We need to do some self-examination and look very hard at ourselves, is this how we want to be treated?    Judge not, that ye be not judged. Matthew 7:1  And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. Luke 6:31 

The second paragraph of the United States Declaration of Independence starts as follows: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. I don’t think the people trying to have a quiet dinner at a restaurant were given their unalienable rights. Which one of you people have the right to take away someone’s liberty and pursuit of happiness? YOU DON’T! NOT A SINGLE ONE OF YOU!! This is where my mother would say,” straighten up and fly right!” We live in the best country on this beautiful blue planet, let’s start acting like it!

As parents, it is harder than ever for us to teach our children to behave not like society demands, but the way the Bible demands. The greatest commandment is to love thy neighbor as thyself. Bullying is never acceptable, whether in schools, on the Internet, or on people trying to have quiet dinner after a hard day’s work. Teach your children that they should; Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. Read it to them chapter and verse and help them be the kind of person that God commands them to be.

We as authors, must be held accountable, because many of us feed into this type of mindset and behavior. Many times we go against our conscience just to put out a piece that will gain us recognition and a monetary return. Let us rise above the fray and stand on the morals of what this country was based on, our inalienable rights! Don’t sell yourself or the American population short, we are better than this type of behavior!

Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
