DOES IT BECOME THE TRUTH?
This Tuesday will mark one of the most hotly contested elections in recent history. The political wind is blowing violently in both directions. This is when individuals must become their own advocate in this regard. You have got to find out the truth for yourself, and not believe the news commentators, Facebook, twitter, etc. It is easy to be persuaded by the wave of emotion going through the country, but it is your future for which you are voting.
If you can spend hours on Facebook, Pinterest, Good eats, Etsy, Wish etc., you can spend a little time checking facts. Some people believe there should be more women holding positions in government, then they vote for women, simply because of their gender. That act alone seems to contradict the new gender-neutral attitude of today’s society. But before casting that ballot, did you look into what each woman stands for?
We must be very careful, for it seems for every right given to a specific movement, which is popular at the moment, takes away the rights of the majority of the populace. In instances like this, again the facts are not checked, and the lies are believed, and riots ensue. Regardless of your party lines, I would encourage each and every one of you to find out what each person running for office believes in and if they will back the Constitution, which has guaranteed our freedoms in this country for hundreds of years.
How many of us will go to the polls wearing face masks? Have you done your own fact checking in this regard? Have you gone on the CDC website and checked the death toll due to this Covid virus? Have you noticed the number of deaths this year are still lower than they were in 2017, yet it was not called a pandemic back then, and a lockdown was not issued? Remember, Hitler told the Jews, moving them to a safer place was for their own safety! Investigate!
When was the last time you drove the speed limit on a state or county road and was not passed? Have you driven on any interstates lately and tried to do the speed limit? I guarantee you’ll have the whole road to yourself, because every car will pass you. Evidently the signs posted are merely suggestions, and you do not have to obey the law. Is that why rioting and vandalism is allowed, because the laws posted are merely suggested? I think it’s important that we are careful we are not caught up in social pressures, making the majority conform to the views of some new sentiment. Rioting, destruction of property, both private and public, should be treated like the crimes they are, arresting the perpetrators, and demanding justice for the people whose property and rights were violated.
One of the privileges we have in this country, is the right to vote, for the people and parties to which you agree. It ensures that all men are created equal, and will have equal rights under the Constitution. We are not a perfect nation, mistakes are made and we still have a lot to learn. But we are the country which gives individuals the freedom to live, worship, and aspire, to anything of which they can dream, because the country was set up that way, by our founding fathers. Just look at what we have become in the world, and being one of the youngest countries. It should give every true American a sense of pride.
In 2017 Iceland boasted that they have ‘cured’ Down syndrome. Other countries followed suit, achieving this claim by terminating pregnancies deemed to be “undesirable”. In many of these countries these terminations have not been an option, because of the rules dictated by their social medicine. It seems odd to be putting a statement like this in this blog, except this is another view of socialism, which is creeping into this country, by some of the people running for office. This is not a cure for Down syndrome, it is simply killing, done over and over, without a conscience. Which makes our votes count all the more for those who do not have a voice.
