LOVE OF PIZZA

It is true, I love pizza, chocolate, rainbows, humming birds, and the list goes on and on.

But, wait, I love my mother, my husband, brothers and sisters, children and grandchildren.  Does this mean I love them the same way I love pizza?  Isn’t love, love? What about hate?  I hate to pull weeds, clean toilets, and take medicine.  I also hate that I am not able to do the things I did when I was twenty five!  Does that mean I hate child abusers, liars, and violent people the way I hate weeds?

We as parents need to teach our children about love.

How God loved us so much he sent his son to die for us.  When we are on the phone, or talking to someone in front of our children, do they hear hate and venomous talk coming out of our mouth?

Try this; pizza is yummy, puppies are cute and cuddly, spiders are scary.  We learn to love the way God loves; because all things good come from God.  We love, God, our children, husbands, parents, and others, with our whole heart.  If we use the word hate, it should mean hate; like, I hate that the devil is making those people do such wicked things, like rioting, hurting and killing people.

Teach your children there is a pure and undying love in this world that is the love of God, and we need to teach them that kind of love. The, no matter what, kind of love.

Does that mean I can’t say I love puppies?  Of course not, as long as our children know we love them so much more, and with a deeper kind of love!

We as writers love to write.  Just don’t let it consume you.  Don’t block the real kind of love out of your life in trade.
