PIECES AND PARTS

We just got received a new parts catalog in the mail.

I’m sure most households have a parts book or leaflet somewhere in your house. Some are included when you buy a new item.  There in the box with the assembly sheet is a part list.  We have numerous ones for different tractors, skid steers, cars and trucks.   Have you ever tried to put something together without the parts list and assembly sheets? I have even taken something apart myself, then forgot how to put it back together.  I really could have used some sort of instructions to help me with the reassembly.  How many times have you put something together, and had an extra part?  What do you do?  Throw it away?  See if it will work without it?  It may work, but will never work to its potential without all the parts in the right places. 

Studies have shown, you really never forget anything you have seen, heard or read.  Gaining access to those memories is another matter.  There are countless records of prisoners writing from memory, whole passages of the Bible on their prison walls.

We as parents need to make sure our children have all the pieces to make their lives capable of reaching their potential.  One of these essential parts is the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. They also need the parts and assembly manual; the Bible.  Don’t send them out into the world unprepared.

We as writers need all the parts of a story to make it successful.  Once we have the parts it is up to us to assemble it in the right order.

 O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.  For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.  Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.  Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?  If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.  If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
