I am so thankful we finally got rain!

I have been watering my flowers, but it never seemed to be enough.  So God stepped in and did it for me.  This morning they are big and beautiful and full of life.   I am amazed how every year these flowers come up and grow into such works of art out of the same small little bulb.  Why isn’t it all used up after the first time it blooms?  I will never understand God’s handiwork.

He promises that he will care for us the same way, if we trust in him.  How successful are we in doing that?  Do we ever wonder, how when we are in a hurry, a parking place opens up at the front of the line?  Is it by chance, or is he watching over our lives all the time?  Do you ever get a check in the mail you were not expecting?  And, that check allows you to pay the bill you were worried about?  Or maybe you found something in the house you had considered lost forever?

We as parents need to teach our children all good things come from God.  A very noble thought, you might say.  But, how many times have you just stopped, or paused, or thought to thank God for the blessing.  The simple fact you have a job, a car, a house to live in and food on your table, are at the mercy of God’s hands.  Let us thank God and teach our children to be thankful.  Do you have your children write thank -you notes for gifts they receive?  Do you? How much more will they appreciate things if we teach them this simple task?  They will not only appreciate the gift, but the giver also.

We as writers have been given a gift, the love or passion for writing.  Never take it for granted.

 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
