Yesterday, I got on an airplane headed for the state of Washington. I am not a world traveler . In fact I rarely fly at all. So, before I board, I go through some pre – flight jitters. Did I pack too much, did I forget anything? Will I make my connecting flight ?
After I board, I take my seat, (always on the isle),and I pray for weather, the pilot, and personal who checked out the plane. Now, to a certain extent I must put my trust in the pilot, and all those people who fueled, checked out and maintained the plane. Their united efforts will make sure the plane will take off and land safely. When it is all said and done, I choose to get on that plane.
The reality is that I chose to put my trust in GOD. He is the one who will keep the plane in the air. Have you ever seen a bumper sticker that says, God is my copilot? I don’t want God to be my copilot , I want him to drive!! I trust him every hour of every day.
As parents, our job is to help our children learn whom they can trust. To keep them safe we must be diligent about this responsibility. We will teach them ‘stranger danger’ and the other pitfalls of this world. But, we must also teach them by example, that they can always trust in GOD.
We writers, trust things like ‘fact check’, spell check, etc.. We need to know that what we write is as accurate as possible. So, look it up and make sure!
