Have you ever watched a beautiful sunset until the end?

It has always amazed me how God takes his time making each and every sunset different, and with each passing moment the beauty of it changes. Each change has its own unique color and majesty. The same can be said of sunrises and frosty mornings when the frost is thick and fuzzy.

Our lives are also a masterpiece of God. Every day of our lives are like the changing artistry of His will. It is true, sometimes the sky is dark and stormy, but it is often followed by a rainbow. We need to learn to give the canvas over to the master’s hands and watch the work of art he will make of our lives if we let him have his way.

Today we will watch the final strokes of Gods brush on my mother’s canvas. Watching the people’s whose lives she touched are part of her legacy.

As parents, what kind of canvas are we? Do we let Satan paint on our canvas all week, then let God have his hour on Sunday to try to undo all that has been done the other six days?  Let us teach our children to be a willing subjects so each of our lives will be the masterpiece God intended.

We as writers create our own masterpieces with our writings. We must ask ourselves, are they all they could be?

The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun.  Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter. This is the day that the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
