WHAT ARE YOUR AIMS IN LIFE?

Do you have a bucket list?

Are there things in this life you wish to accomplish before your number is up? Is it all about you? Is your biggest goal in life to make yourself happy, or to win accolades? How do you think your life would play out if your goal was to make other people happy?  How about winning a loved one to Christ.  What greater reward could there possibly be than to meet that person in heaven.

You might ask yourself why you want the things on that list.  Is it just for fun? Is it so you can have something after your name?

Greeting people at my mother’s funeral I was amazed at the number of adults who came by and said, ‘your mother was my Sunday school teacher when I was a small child.’ These are grown people with children of their own carrying on the legacy taught to them by my mother.  What greater bucket list accomplishment is there than that?

If you strive in this life to make other people happy, you will make yourself happy and satisfied.

As parents, we need to teach our children what the important things in life are. The joy they can bring to others, and being content with what they have.  Teach them to leave a legacy behind them that isn’t just a flash in a pan but is lasting.

We as writers leave a legacy behind us in our writings.  Do we help anyone reach a place of contentment, or is our bottom line profit?

 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:13-14

I ain’t suggesting your information isn’t good, but suppose you added something to maybe get people’s attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda vanilla. You might look at Yahoo’s home page and note how they create article headlines to grab viewers to open the links. You might add a related video or a related pic or two to grab readers excited about what you’ve written. In my opinion, it would make your website a little livelier.

  13. I’m not sure exactly why but this weblog is loading incredibly slow for me.
    Is anyone else having this issue or is it a issue on my end?
