You ever wonder did you ever wonder where life will take you?

Did that question ever run through your mind? God has a purpose for everyone. But God also gives all men free will. He will guide our path every day if we let him. We often think we can do a better job by ourselves.
Have you ever been caught in a burning building? The flight to freedom is clearly marked if you take time to look at the map. The way out is often obscured by smoke. If you lose your way and cannot find the exit you will perish in the fire, unless a fireman shows up with a light and shows you the way out by you taking his hand.
Life can sometimes be like a burning building. The exit can be obscured by things in our life that are not good for us, or that make our judgment cloudy. God has always given us free will in our lives. With that free will it is his hope, we will choose him to be our guide to get us out to safety. He has given us a map with clear directions on which way we should go, which turns we should make, which traps we should avoid and it’s called the Bible. You don’t have to use this map he gave you. You can stumble through your life running into walls, falling in the holes and getting hurt time and time again. But if you use the map it will be a lamp unto your feet and light unto your path. With a well-lighted way you can avoid many of the pitfalls that can cause heartache and sorrow in your life. You must remember the choice is yours.  Do you want to stumble in the darkness or have a lighted path to safety.

As parents we need to teach our children to lean on Jesus and in all their ways acknowledge Him and He will direct their path. Help them navigate the Bible. If they have problem help them look up a verse that will help them make the right decision with the problem they’re facing. Give them a picture book Bible when they’re little, Adventure Bibles when they’re young and study Bibles when they get older. Teach your children that reading the Bible is second nature to them. You want them to know the way to safety.

We as writers have a plot in our stories. They have a beginning a middle and an end much like life. We keep notes to keep us on the right path to the end of the story. We need to use the right references so the story comes out to it’s true ending.

For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness. For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God? God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet: and setteth me upon my high places.
