Do you play an active role in your child’s life?
I don’t mean do you feed and clothe them, but do you talk to them and know what their daily lives are like? Do you ask every day how their day was at school and listen, really listen to the answer? Do you watch their moods and behavior for any changes that may indicate that something has changed? The new school terms are starting and it is the parent’s responsibility to know and watch for these types of things. Do you read their papers that are brought home to see exactly what your child is being taught? Evil can come at our children from various ways, and often times it is very subtle. It will try to destroy their very basic foundation and beliefs. You need to know what they are filling your child’s head with. Some teachers may have very firm political views, but that doesn’t mean it is the right thing to be pressing on your child. You must know these things. If a teacher is an atheist, their anti-Christ behavior should not sway your child. Be Pro-Active!!!
As parents it is our responsibility to find out what the curriculum of the school is for the grade our child will be enrolled in. Don’t be one of those parents who are glad school has started, because now you have a babysitter and you don’t have to worry where they are. Danger can come from the most innocent places. Know your child’s friends, and their parents. Check their emails and social media correspondence. These things are not their rights, but privileges you are allowing them to have and you need to protect them from potential threats. YOU are the parent, not their friend, act like it! PROTECT THEM!
We as writers have the opportunity to both expose and confront these dangers to our country’s children. Educate the parents about the many evils lurking out there that want to hurt our children, both body and soul. It is our privilege to do this.
Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Psalms 127:3
And whosoever shall offend (make sin) one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
Mark 9:42
