ROAD BLOCKS

You may never know what will be in the road ahead.

Do you have any idea how many people are watching you?  How you will behave in any given situation? This is especially true when you are a Christian. People are waiting for you to fail.  When we get up in the morning we have no idea what lies in wait for us. If we are confronted with tragedy, will we rant and wail and blame God? If our finances are out of control, do we blame everyone and everything except our own shortcomings?  How do we handle our problems?

How do you prepare to face the world every day? David said, ‘O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee:’ Again, he says:’ My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.’ David is often referred to as a man after God’s own heart.  What better way to avoid, or learn to deal with, everything blocking our way, than to seek God’s help and guidance in the morning.  Before our first cup of coffee, juice, or any other form of nourishment.  Let us nourish our souls first and live healthy spiritual lives for our Lord.

As parents we need to teach our children to say good morning to the Lord. It can be in prayer, song or any way they choose, just as long as they great him into their lives on a daily basis. We never know what road blocks they will encounter in their daily lives. Arm them against whatever Satan will throw in front of them.

We as writers can avoid road blocks on paper much easier that people can in real life. We do have the opportunity to help them around such road blocks with some sage advice. Awesome!

 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

1 Peter 5:8

That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

II Thessalonians 2: 2-4
