Is this what they call tolerance?

When did it become anyone’s right to disobey the law? How did this great nation get reduced to a group of radicals taking over public dominion and laws? Why are we letting this happen?  How can statues (beautiful works of art, I might add) that have stood for hundreds of years suddenly become offensive?  Here is how.  The people who are leading these lynch mobs cannot even tell you accurate accounts of any part of this country’s history.  They merely get on the fastest moving band wagon and go along for the ride.  These statues can be used to teach valuable lessons to our young so history does not repeat itself.  These were honorable people who died for a cause they believed in.  Sons and husbands, uncles and grandfathers.  It is important to teach the youth of this country all the history that have brought us to this place.  If we don’t they will become a ship without a helm, not knowing where they came from or where they are going.  Just one of the mass that is easily influenced by a wave of bias or someone’s idea of offense, steered in any direction the wind of mass media may be blowing at the time.

The fact you don’t see eye to eye with someone does not mean you have the right to invade their personal space.  When did the outlaws take over? What is happening in America right now is akin to ISIS tearing down monument and temples where ever they invade. The difference is this country is doing this to themselves.  ISIS won’t have to come over here to destroy this country, we are doing a pretty good job of that on our own.

As parents we need to teach our children what the Bible says about remembering what God has done.  The cross is a symbol of the sacrifice he made so the world could be saved.  It was the gift of his life, so we could have eternal life.  That is why God had the Israelites stack stones on the other side of the Jordon, so the children would see them and remember God’s great mercy in parting the waters. So the children would remember!!!  Teach your children, give them the armor of God so they can withstand the evils of this world.

We as writers have the opportunity to expound on history and its characters.  This is the privilege of freedom people have lived and died for.  Let us be careful of the gift they have left us.

And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones?
