FAITHFUL FOREVER

Do you have someone who will always be faithful to you?

Life is a funny thing, during a marriage ceremony you promise to always love, honor and be faithful to one another for life. For some people either their memory or their life must be very short. Divorce happens all to often in this day and age. The minute they stop being the center of attention, they  get bored, or find out the person they married isn’t perfect or make enough money, they head for greener pastures. Somebody should have given them  lessons about the reality of every day life. To be faithful, no matter what!! It is a solemn vow you make in front of all your guest, the person to whom you will marry and to God. How then is it taken so lightly?
One of my favorite movies as a child, was Gulliver’s Travels, by Disney. The whole thing fasinated me. But I was so dissappointed that the Lillyputians and the Blefuscudians could not come to an agreement on the wedding song. (I know it differs form the book) I was so happy when in the end Gulliver got them to listen to what it would sound like if not only did they promise to be Faithful, but Forever.
We are so blessed that we have a faithful God, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever! He will never leave us, no matter the circumstances. In fact he will be there to lighten our burden and bring joy back into our lives.

If we could apply the words of ‘Faithful Forever’ to our relationship to both God and our spouses, we would all be happier!

FAITHFUL FOREVER
Glenn Miller
Faithful forever whatever I do; Remember I’m true, remember that
Faithful forever and thankful for you; I’ll keep smiling trough, remember that
We may be apart now and then; But I’ll hold you in my heart, Till your in my arms again
Faithful forever I promise to be; so always have faith in me.

As parents we need to teach our children the value of a promise. That what you say you will do. The best way is always by example, and one of the best examples is Jesus Christ. Teach them the Scriptures!
We as writers have had characters with less than stellar reputations, but even a scoundrel can keep his word and be faithful!

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:9
For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Psalm 100:5
O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psalm 136:1
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9
