Are you part of the problem?
Have you noticed how the leaves are changing? It is a slow and gradual change, and each tree turns at a different rate, having its own internal clock. It all seems so beautiful and inspiring until the last leaf has fallen and the bare ugliness stares us in the face. We would do anything for that fleeting beauty, but the reality is, it is gone. That is much the way sin acts, with flourishes of grandeur and colorful slogans and causes, but when the dust settles we are left with ugliness. It is a slow and gradual change, like not respecting the people in charge, then our constitution and laws are ignored, and the flag and anthem are disrespected. It is a slow and almost imperceptible change, but the end result is loss of beauty and freedom. They put many names and faces on the change, but the end results are the same, the devastation of everything that is pure and good in this country.
Well, wake up America, it starts at home! One of the biggest culprits is complacency. Fathers not teaching their sons to remove their hats when they enter a building, or at the playing of the National Anthem. To stand up during a parade when an American flag goes by, and placing their hand over their hearts. Small imperceptible changes, but they learn by example. They watch their parents, how they behave, what they say to the television while getting upset during a game. That’s right it is a game! What has to happen before you realize everything you do and say has consequences! Slowly and methodically things are being taken away like the falling leaves. Prayer in schools, crosses in public places, the disrespect of our laws. If this country decides not to teach history, then it falls on every parent to make their children understand what the freedom they enjoy costs! American soldiers of every color, race, and beliefs fought and died for the freedom of this country.
It is just like the freedom we have from eternal damnation and what price had to be paid to ensure us that liberty. Jesus Christ died on the cross!
Once it is gone, it will be gone forever! Wake up America!
As parents this responsibility falls on us to ensure our children are not robbed of the truth. Know what they are teaching your children in school in the guise of world history. The Bible is never changing and is as pertinent today as it was the day it was inspired! Teach your children the Ten Commandments and lead them by example, be their parent, they have enough friends!
We as writers have to ask ourselves, are we part of the problem? Do we care more about ratings than truth? Sometimes we have to do what is right even if it is not always popular!
And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;
