If you are reading this, guess what, we are still here!
How did you feel when you woke up this morning and saw the sun? Are you getting ready for church right now? Do you have a new purpose in life today unlike yesterday, or didn’t you believe the prognosticators. Make no mistake, they were right, just not about when. The Bible describes just what they said would happen, but the Bible also says no one knows when, not even the angels!
We sure do get full of ourselves, thinking that we have control over the climate and the times when things may or may not happen. When did God give control of all these things over to us? Sometimes he needs to get our attention, and we need to sit up and take notice that he is still on his throne! All rules still apply! If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your own personal Saviour, you will spend eternity in hell. Whether that is politically correct or not will not effect the outcome. You woke up this morning to a beautiful day, tomorrow you may not! Is it worth the risk?
As parents we need to teach our children to greet God every morning in some fashion. A prayer, song, or just talk to Him. The best way to teach, I have said over and over, is by example!
We as writers, both of fiction and nonfiction, owe it to our readers to make what we write believable. So the question is: What do you believe in?
It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Psalm 30:5
Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
Psalm 143:8
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
Psalm 5:3
