PLEASE TELL ME IT ISN’T MONDAY!!

Lord, give me strength to get through another Monday!

Why are Mondays so hard? We have to work if we want to have a home and to eat.  So, what is it that brings dread the minute we hear the word Monday?  Is it because we enjoyed being off for a few days? We cling to the time we spend with family and friends, and don’t want it to end. Or is it we had so much catch up to do on the weekend, (which by the way didn’t all get done), that we dread going back to work only to get more behind for next weekend.  Or maybe we weren’t strict with bedtimes and we know what a nightmare it will be getting the kids up and ready to catch the bus? However it happened, Monday has become a time to wrench hands and clench teeth. Unfortunately it isn’t going to change any time soon. So what do we do?

I have a great solution! Sing! Play happy music! Get your juices flowing with something other than anger! Put a smile on your face even if you have to force yourself, and let your family know you are trying to send them off with a positive attitude.  Start your day with a simple Bible verse stuck to you bathroom mirror that lifts your spirit.  Put another one on the fridge. Get your strength from the Lord. You don’t have to be upset it is Monday, after all it is just another day of the week.  Get the attitude that you are fortunate you have a job, a family and the ability to get out of bed on any given morning. YOU are the author of your own happiness!

As parents we need to teach our children to greet each and every morning with a joyful heart. Recite one thing that is a blessing, like having a warm dry bed. (Unlike the Harvey victims) Or the fact they can see and sing a song to praise God! We are so blessed, help them realize that fact.

We as authors can help people realize how nice they have it by bringing our characters up from devastation to success the hard way. Which makes them a hero in my book every time!

For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

II Thessalonians 3:10

The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

Psalm 118:14

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Isaiah 41:10

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Philippians 4:13
