EVIL STRIKES AGAIN!

Another movie just came out about “IT”.

That is right, evil is alive and well and living in America.  Another movie just hit the box-office, called “IT” and it has no redeeming qualities.  Neither did the horror movies that came out before this one! I was shocked while doing research for this blog, how many mass murder, sexual deviant, terrifyingly moral less movies have been made! And to what end? What do they hope to achieve by producing and watching these movies? To degrade the moral fiber of our young people?  If that kind of evil is not present in your or your child’s mind, it will be after they watch these movies.  You sit there on your political hind ends and say this latest shooting was because people can by guns.  Are you kidding me? So, do a little research and see how we are programing our children.  How about the game, “Grand theft Auto”, a simple game that teaches how to steal cars while stomping someone to death!  REALLY? How do you expect children to react to things like that?  We are de-sensitizing our children to evil in this world. We have taken God and prayer out of our schools, and you can see a direct correlation in the rise of crime.  They are no longer shocked by any kind of evil, like beheading by ISIS, the Boston bombing or the mass shooting in Las Vegas.  It is just another day to them, in their world of brutality.  It is important for all of us to ask the hard questions! What do I hope to get out of this movie? Will I be enlightened, educated, inspired, become a better person, and learn new skills? This last shooting was a tragedy on every level, but how many of you cared after the first day? How de-sensitized have you and your family become?

As parents we need to teach our children empathy and sincere caring for the horrible things that are happening in this world.  My manta has always been teach by example, so during a mealtime or bedtime prayer include the people of these tragedies, like the shootings, Irma, Harvey, and Jose.  Not just once, but explain how their suffering did not stop on that day, but as they continue to rebuild and mourn the losses of those tragedies. Don’t invite evil into your children’s world, monitor what they see and hear.  Let it be good holy things that will help them grow into loving adults.

We as authors have the ability to put as much evil or good into our books as we choose. We just need to ask ourselves what we want to be remembered for!

He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Proverbs 13:20

Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:

Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.

Proverbs 22:24-25

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Psalms 1:1

Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.

Psalms 119:115

But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
