A LITTLE CAN BE A LOT!

Little is much if God is in it!

Have you ever taken a little piece of Alka Seltzer and dropped it into a little bit of water?  What happens? It actually causes a small explosion! Alkali doesn’t like water! A little bit of water can cause a violent reaction when introduced to contrasting elements.  Water will find a way of escape, no matter how minute the opening may be, it will find it. A drop of water may not have much power by itself, but dropped into a body of water, the effects will be radiated in all directions until it reaches the outer limits, its waves affecting everything it comes in contact with.

A life can be like that. You may do one-act of kindness, but the ripple effect may have enormous effects that you may never know about. The same can be said about an act of evil, or unkindness. You may never know the repercussions it may have, not only on that one person, but other people in perpetuity.

So the choice is yours, what kind of influence will you have on the world? Just one-act at a time, the ripple effect, coming from you, can either be for good or for evil.

This is a song by Kittie Suffield that I really think spotlights what I am trying to convey:

Little is Much when God is in it.

In the harvest field now ripened
There’s a work for all to do;
And hark! the Master’s voice is calling
To the harvest calling you.

Does the place you’re called to labor
Seem too small and little known?
It is great if God is in it,
And He’ll not forget His own

Little is much when God is in it!
Labor not for wealth or fame
There’s a crown and you can win it,
If you go in Jesus’ Name.

When the conflict here is ended
And our race on earth is run,
He will say, if we are faithful,
“Welcome home, My child – well done!”

Little is much when God is in it!
Labor not for wealth or fame
There’s a crown and you can win it,
If you go
If you go
If you go in Jesus’ Name

As parents we need to teach our children that everything they say and do have an effect, not only on themselves, but on others. Keep them, and yourself in the Word, and it will be a lamp unto their feet, and a light unto their path. Whether, therefore, you eat or drink or whatever you dodo all to the glory of God.  What more could you want for your children, than to know their lives, through Christ, will always stand for, and be an effect for good!

We as writers need to be cognizant of the fact that what we write will have a ripple effect on the world, if only one person reads it.  It is our free will to write to either be a force of good or of evil.  What is your choice?

And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.

He said, Bring them hither to me.

And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.

And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

Matthew 14:17-21

And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.

And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.

And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:

For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

Mark 12:38-44
