WISE MEN STILL SEEK HIM!

Are you searching for something?

The days are counting down to the Celebration of Christmas.  We are busy and preoccupied, wanting to make everything perfect. Losing sight of what the Celebrating is all about.  We need to remind ourselves, this time of year, is about the Birth of the Saviour of the world.  That is why we give gifts to one another, to depict the greatest gift that was ever offered to this world.

Did you know that before the Elf on the Shelf, people would hide the baby Jesus, from their manger scene that was proudly displayed in their home?  The children would seek the Baby Jesus, and finding him they would all sit down and read the story of the Nativity. What a concept to seek something that would be the answers to all you were ever looking for. So simple:  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. He promises he will be there if you seek him, and you WILL find him if you look.

While celebrating the birth of the Christ Child, why not start a new family tradition. Make a small Birthday cake for Jesus.  It will be something you children can do and pass on down from generation to generation.  Keep Christ in Christmas!

As parents it is hard to keep things in perspective for our children, in a world full of commercialism and greed. Perhaps making a birthday cake for Jesus is just what the family needs to remember that he still lives! Not only does he live but promises to come again to take his children home. Something to remember!

We as authors rarely bring religion into our writings for fear of alienating some of our readers. Remember the verse: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: We don’t have to be afraid, because he is with us, Emanuel!

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:13

Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.

Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.

I Chronicles 16:10-11, Psalms 105:4

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee:

Psalms 63a:1a

Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.

Psalms 119:2

Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Isiah 55:6
