No Matter what the world throws at me.
I wish I could say with the New Year everything is wiped clean and we start fresh. But for some of you that is only a wish and not the reality. Today we are awaiting the results of my nieces CT and bone scans. My brother is going in for surgery this week. Unfortunately we bring our old baggage with us into this New Year. Our prayers are with both of these loved ones and many others. But we also have the knowledge that our God is greater than the things we have to bear. The hardest thing we have to learn is to turn all our cares, worries, and troubles over to God, with the knowledge that he has what is best for us in his plan.
Then why do bad things happen to good people? Because, and not trying to simplify this, Satan still roams this world, trying to destroy everyone’s belief and faith in God. He causes every unfortunate thing this world throws at you. And let’s face it, it is very hard to keep believing when you are in the doldrums. But our faith is contingent on our believing that miracles are possible. And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. And when your faith is strong all things are possible: And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. I know you are thinking right now; easier said than done, and I agree with you! That is why it is very important to be surrounded by like-minded people. Because we hold each other accountable and there is power in prayer! Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. So it stands to reason, if one fervent prayer availeth much, many prayers of like-minded people would availeth much more! I am praying for these loved ones. The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing, and prayer is after all, just a conversation with God. So talk and walk with Jesus daily, and expect great things: HAVE FAITH!!!
As parents we need to teach our children to believe that they can walk and talk with Jesus every day, just like it says in the Bible. ‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. He wants to be part of our life, but we have to let him in. Help your children understand this.
We as authors don’t talk about faith much in our writings. This may be because we have a hard time with this concept. Just start by a simple conversation daily with God, and you will be amazed how much your faith will grow!
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
