NO SEPARATION!

Nothing can separate us!

As many of you noticed, yesterday was my son Jason’s birthday. He died at the age of 24 in a car accident.  Not a day goes by that I don’t miss him.  He had a devil-may-care attitude, but a marshmallow filling.  His heart was so big he had the capacity to touch people of all ages and stations in life.  He was not a perfect child or man.  There were a lot of things in his life that he would be the first to admit needed to be changed. None of that can change the fact he was my son.

Many families have dysfunctional relationships and even disown their children. Even disowning doesn’t change the fact that their child, just as my son Jason, was conceived, brought to term and delivered. They have our DNA and we are linked and nothing can reverse that fact!

That is what it is like when you become a child of the King.  When you accept Christ as your personal Saviour, you become his child, forever! Nothing can separate you from the love of your heavenly father, you are covered by his blood and now share a common DNA!

What a joy it is to know, because my son made the decision to become a child of the King, nothing will separate him from his heavenly father, and because of that fact, I will be reunited with him again. Nothing can separate us, not even death!

As parents we need to instruct our children in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Start when they are infants, with little Bible stories they can understand.  Make reading the Bible a daily occurrence, maybe at bedtime. They will have to make the decision to become a child of the King by themselves, but it is up to us to give them the tools to make that decision.

We as authors love to use reunions as themes of our writings.  Star crossed lovers who are reunited and live happily ever after has always been a best seller.  Can you imagine the reunions the saved in Christ are going to enjoy when the meet in heaven? Now that is a classic!

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:35, 38-39

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

John 3:3-7
