Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord!
Today was one of the first days that actually felt like spring! The air was clean, the sun was warm, and the temperature matched! The only thing that makes today better was the fact that the grass is green, the daffodils and crocus are blooming! Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day! What better time to thank God to be alive and enjoying His beautiful bounty! There are so many reasons to be thankful, for family, for friends, for freedom, and the list goes on and on.
I know that life can be trying and difficult at any time of the year. If you look around you can see people who are struggling with emotions both caused by external and internal conflicts. Well, why don’t we all rally together and try to spread a little spring happiness by smiling! Statics prove that smiles are contagious like yawning. Spring is just a code word for kindness, love and good will. It shouldn’t take a holiday for us to feel charitable. Let your love and thankfulness become a contagious disease that you can spread with a joyful outcome! Be happy with your life and count your blessings. I think if you were to keep a journal for one week, writing down the blessings you receive, it would surprise you. Simple things can be blessings, like hearing from an old friend, or seeing baby bunnies, chicks or kittens. Anything that brings you any type of joy write down, and when you do, it will be easier to remember how blessed you really are, and easier to spread the happiness.
As parents we need to have our children tell us something good about their day each and every day. Then we should tell them something good about ours. This will keep you both upbeat and thankful for all the goodness God has bestowed on you.
We as authors are probably some of the worst journal keepers. But if we would take the time to write down the good things in our lives every day, who knows, besides improving our outlook on life, we may just get an idea for a new story! Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord.
Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
