HEARING GOD

Knowing which way to go.

Lately our Vice President has been cannon fodder for people who would like to call themselves reporters and entertainers. I find these people live under a canopy of hypocrisy, and double standards, when it comes to honest reporting. Their latest witch-hunt  aimed at the Vice President is because of his faith, and the fact he is not ashamed to tell people that he lives the best life he can, according to what God intends. They have gone so far as to make innuendos about his sanity, making fun, saying  it’s one thing to talk to God, but if God starts talking back you must be crazy. God’s word, the Bible, is a living testament to God, and His will. The Bible even has a verse concerning people such as these “entertainers,” He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. It is no wonder people of Hollywood, and this industry, would doubt, ridicule, and make light of the fact that the Vice President says he listens to God, so he can live a good and righteous life. That he seeks God’s counsel daily to know which way he should go, and have a light for his path. I think the verse states plainly that they don’t hear God because they are not of God, perhaps they are jealous, so they belittle a man who puts God first in his life and can hear his voice.

I don’t know about you, but I am thrilled knowing that the Vice President does not think so much of himself, that he would not seek counsel while doing this enormous task, of helping the President run this country. Let’s face it, the President and the Vice President need all the help they can get, and what better help than divine help? With the threat of nuclear war on the horizon, only a fool would not ask for divine intervention in such a time as this.

Have we become such a lawless, godless country, that our representatives and senators do not even stand for the National Anthem? I challenge you to do a little research on the person that is representing you and your voice in this Republic, and find out what he stands,(or doesn’t) stand for. If your representative is not standing for the National Anthem, and the Pledge of Allegiance, out of respect for the blood that soaked the ground to ensure our freedom, you need to make your voice heard and let him know who and what he is supposed to be representing. Each one has to be sworn into office, promising to uphold hold the laws of this land , for liberty and justice for all, so help me God. Was that oath just a lie, just lip service?

The late-night talk show host, and the morning talk shows, do not hold back one iota with their double standards of mudslinging, hatemongering, and disrespecting,  any person who is not on the same political ticket as they are, calling it humor. Regardless of your political affiliations, I seriously doubt if any person in their right mind, can find that funny in any sense of the word. This country stands firm on a proud heritage of living under the Constitution, which governs the lawmaking bodies. It has made us the biggest melting pot in the world of every race, yet one of the strongest, and freest. We have had growing pains along the way, but have come together with mutual respect, and brotherhood, to ensure the continuing strength of this nation. I am proud to be an American who stands for the Pledge of Allegiance, and the National Anthem, and who has a President and Vice President who seeks the counsel of God before making any decisions in my behalf.

As parents it is important for us to teach our children to respect authority, their heritage, but most of all the Word of God, and all it will tell them, if they only listen. Teach them what the Bible says: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Teach them to read their Bible daily, to talk to God, and listen when he talks back through his Word.

We as authors should guard against falling in the same false pretense of unbiasedness, and then write with a prejudice against people simply because they do not share your views of a certain political party. Truth should always be in the forefront of anything we write, regardless of our personal political opinions. It seems we are drifting farther and farther away from good honest journalism, into shades of bias and hatred. It is a big disappointment seeing the country go backwards, when we had progressed so far  in this area.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

John 14:25

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Romans 10:17

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

John 8:47

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
