FOLLOW ME

Who will you follow?

We are on our way to Texas, for my granddaughter’s 16th Birthday party! We are traveling on an average of 65-70 mph. The highways are slammed with semis and there is nothing you can do but follow. Following a semi would not be my first choice on any highway, but sometimes you do not have a choice who you follow. For a while during part of the trip I was the leader. While assuming that roll I tried to be courteous to the other drivers sharing the road with me. I wish that could be said to the other cars and trucks.
In life we do have choices as to  whom we follow and where the journey may take us.
1 Corinthians 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. So if we choose to follow those who think evil, then speak it, we can count on being corrupted. Being bad, or evil, if you will, is an easy thing to be, it doesn’t take any practice or concentration to think bad thoughts, or do bad things. Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Because we are carnal by nature, we sin, without much forethought or planning, motivation, or commitment we just do. But if we follow Jesus: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. This is where the choice comes in, you must choose whether or not to follow Jesus. Do you want to live a life pleasing to God? It is part of your free will God gave each one of us, you get to choose the life you live and whom you follow. There is one thing you must understand, every choice in life has consequences, and payment is due at the end of the journey. If you choose Christ to follow, the price has been paid for you, by His death on the cross. If you choose not to make that commitment, then you must pay the price, and it will take you an eternity to pay it off. Choose wisely!

As parents it is our job to help our children make the best decisions for their lives. They can not make those decisions unless they have all the facts, it is up to you; to raise up a child in the way he should go! Study the Bible with them so they understand the choices they have and the price of those decisions.

We as authors make decisions every day when we are writing. We decide which way the story will go, and what plot line it will follow. If our work is a flop, that is the price we pay for those decisions. The decisions we make in life as to who to follow exacts a much higher price.
