Of Ourselves Together
Since Covid, people are a little bit shy about assembling in a large group. They are terrified of the germ they can’t see, smell, taste, or touch. Because of this fear the attendance of churches have suffered greatly. It is my belief that this man-made virus is a tool of Satan. Already people’s hackles are raised because I called it man-made but you have to be your own advocate and do your own research, the truth is out there. But I digress, because of this virus, not only the churches suffered but so did clubs for children and activities that bring adults together, like bowling, watching football or baseball etc… Being in a social atmosphere helps us with our communication with one another, our empathy toward one another, and the desire to help and edify. Clubs like YMCA, 4H, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, have suffered not only physically but financially also.
If I were a conspiracy person, I would say this weapon of Satan has mass destruction abilities. Why? you ask, because it breaks down society on all levels, making us weaker as a united front. It is my belief that when people got comfortable with Covid, knowing that with care you don’t need to be afraid of it, the powers that be will invent a new virus. One that will once again bring fear and separation to the people of America and perhaps all over the world.
It is important, with the media today, (especially with AI), that you are your own advocate, and you research anything they try passing off as epidemics and other social debilitating diseases. I’m not telling you not to be careful but know the real risks involved with what the media tells you.
I am not what you’d call a rebel, or an activist of any kind. What I can tell you is that all my life I have trusted God with my health, wealth, and eternal life. He has never let me down, so I choose to follow this Bible verse. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15
There used to be roadside signage, and they would give you part of a phrase one sign at a time. One I remember from my childhood is this one: CH — CH. The next sign read what is missing? The final sign read: UR. Who would’ve ever known that signs from half a century ago would be so poignant today. Are you what is missing in your church today? God promises were two or more are gathered he will be in the midst of them. You will not get that from your television when you’re watching it on Sunday morning.
We as parents are always under the scrutiny of our children along with other family members and neighbors. We can be the example to all of them by doing what the Lord commands and assembling on Sunday mornings as the Bible tells us to. Being part of a church community allows individuals to grow spiritually, receive encouragement, and support one another in their faith journey.
- Emotional Support: Regular gatherings can help fight feelings of loneliness, doubt, and unbelief by providing a supportive community.
- Mental and Physical Health: Spending time with family and friends can improve mental health, reduce stress, and even boost physical health by encouraging healthier habits.
- Strengthening Relationships: Family gatherings help strengthen family bonds, create stability, and promote a sense of identity and belonging.
- Witness to Others: Gathering together as a community can serve as a powerful witness to others, showing the love and unity within the group.
- Encouragement to Serve: Being part of a community encourages individuals to serve one another, promoting a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
- Wise Counsel: Gathering with others provides opportunities to receive wise counsel and fresh perspectives, helping individuals make better decisions.
We as authors have a responsibility to our readers to give them the truth, unbiased, unweighted by outside influences. We need to do our due diligence in our research and investigations so we can put forth an honest report. Let us not grow weary in doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Matthew 18:20
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Corinthians 5:4
Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. Hebrews 2:12
I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. Psalm 22:22

God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him. Psalm 89:7
