Are you familiar with it?
I am so grateful for the GPS on my phone. It will take me to the very place I want to go. All I have to do is put in the right coordinates and I will arrive safe and sound. But what happens if I get just one tiny item wrong in the coordinates? I could end up on a completely wrong street or even city. Used correctly GPS is very convenient to get me where I want to go.
The one place it cannot take me is to heaven. So, what GPS can I use to arrive at that destination? Well, there is another foolproof GPS and it is God’s plan of salvation. All I have to do is put in the coordinates as stated in God’s word. If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9. This is absolutely foolproof!
As parents we would never send our children out on an unknown path. We want to know all the particulars such as who, what, where and when! How can we in good conscience then send our children into eternity without knowing where they will end up?
We as authors always plot a story, so we know the beginning the middle and the end. Most of the time we write a happily ever after ending. What could possibly be happier than life everlasting in heaven?
